DMC Live

DMC Live includes all of the live events, performances and gigs that are organised by Dumfries Music Collective, including DMC on Tour! and Trax, as well as festival takeovers at YouthBeatz and Doonhame. Promoting local talent by giving opportunities to perform has always been at the heart of DMC, and providing live music to the region is a key part of our mission to support young artists, cultivate audiences, and strengthen the grassroots music scene across Dumfries and Galloway.

DMC Salute

DMC Salute is the annual celebration of women and non-binary people in music, held every March to mark International Women’s Day. The programme combines hands-on learning with live performance, helping diversify and strengthen the region’s electronic music scene. Open to aspiring DJs aged 15–25, Salute includes a free, beginner-friendly DJ workshop led by industry pros, most recently the incredible Elanda, alongside an evening event that showcases emerging and established talent. Salute is all about community, creativity, and amplifying voices in electronic music.

Core Programme:

DMC Futures

DMC Futures is a fully funded mentorship programme from Dumfries Music Collective, designed to support young creatives in Dumfries & Galloway. Running since 2016, the programme pairs participants aged 16–25 with experienced industry professionals for tailored, one-on-one guidance. With 12 hours of personalised mentoring which is either delivered online or in person, participants shape their own experience based on their creative goals. Open to all disciplines, DMC Futures helps emerging talent build confidence, grow networks, and take meaningful next steps in their careers.

DMC Platform

DMC Platform is DMC's youth led programming element. The strand appoint one young person in a paid role to research and develop their own programming item in line with DMC's brief, and carry their ideas through to delivery with help from the staff team at DMC and a dedicated budget for their project. These young people are
supported by a package of CPD and training to support their role and add to their personal experience and CVs.
